Recommendations

I know what its like as a dog owner to get confused by the number of different services and products out there! Knowing which ones to trust and which ones actually work can be a minefield especially as most things aren’t cheap!

I decided to put together a handy guide of products and services as a guide to help you. These are my personal recommendations of products/ services I have used myself for my dogs or in my line of work that I have found to be fantastic!

Dog Toys from Tug-E-Nuff

Along with selling a range of toys ourselves we are also a part of the tug-e-nuff partner program.

We love their toys particularly the frizbee!! Have a look what they have and receive free delivery by clicking the link below and entering ‘TAILSANDPEAKS’ in the coupon code area on checkout:

Dog Behaviorist

Sometimes we need to refer our clients on to a qualified behaviourist. This maybe for the more complex issues such as people reactivity as it’s not something we deal with ourselves. We highly recommend Joh, she is not only friendly and approachable but she has a wealth of knowledge and expertise.

Boredom Busters!

It is important to keep you dogs mind active along with being physically in shape. We sell a wide range of interactive toys and feeders ourselves but we also love these lickiMats from Pets at Home.

I have to say I am really impressed with how long they kept my spaniels occupied! You simply spread on your dogs favourite treat (I used peanut butter) and they lick it out. You can use cream cheese, canned pet food, canned sardines in spring water or anything you can think of that is dog safe!

We now stock these in 4 designs!

Training / Medicine Treat Paste

paste

This product from Arden Grange is one of my favourite things to use when training. As it is in a paste form in a handy tube, it makes it really simple to use and saves me running round a training course with a bumbag flapping! It is also really good for hiding your dogs worming tablets! You can find it for sale in our online shop🙂

Training Lead

ha;

This has to be my favourite lead for both training and walking dogs. It is so versatile with clips on both ends of the lead and multiple loops which means this 1 lead has a range of uses! It can be fastened around your waist and to the dog for loose lead walking, it has various lead lengths , with the double clips it can be attached to a gentle leader and the dogs collar or a harness and the dogs collar. It is also made from a soft fabric – I have tried a number of these leads and none beat this on comfort ! These can also be found in our online shop.

Treat Bags

These come in all shapes and sizes but are really useful for putting those all important treats in when you are walking / training. The one pictured above can be found in our online shop.
